BOUCHON  knew with  her  first childhood  drawings in crayon  that she had
discovered  a lifelong passion.  Although fine art school beckoned she chose
instead to please  her father who wanted her  to attend  law school.  But no
sooner  did she  have her  degree in  hand  than she  once
again reached for her paintbrushes.  From that moment
on she has never stopped painting.  She began with
enchanting  portraits of her children,  Frederique
and Antoine, then her family and friends. As her
confidence  and courage began  to grow she pla-
ced  an  ad  in  a magazine  and  instantly her  first
commissions  started  pouring  in. I remember
my  first order,  a little  red-headed boy  with
the palest skin, and all I could think was
how nervous I was,  Bouchon recalls  (cf "Portraits"). Then came another
for a  wedding in Cannes,  a magnificent house and  swimming pool  on the
sea . I thought I'll never be able to do this, but after a glass of Champagne
  everything was fine (cf "Weddings").

Soon after she won the  "Super Prize for Crea-
tivity" from  Elle magazine and her career was
  launched (cf "Special Award").

Ever daring and always optimistic -- unannoun-
ced and unexpected -- BOUCHON took a selec-
tion of her paintings under her arm and walked
into the Galerie Antoinette in Paris.  Immedia-
tely she  was invited to exhibit her work in the
gallery  that is considered by experts to be the
best venue for naïve painting in France.

Her love  affair  with  Paris,  where she has al-
ways lived,  is a constant source of inspiration
for  her  work.   With  unfailing  creativity  she
never ceases  to  capture  its  charm,  ambian-
ce and beauty (cf "Glorious Paris").

  Throughout  her career  BOUCHON's  paintings
have been featured in numerous individual and group exhibitions  (cf "Gallery
Collections ").  Her pictures are included in the permanent collections of three
prestigious  galleries as well  as private collections in  France and throuhout
the  world  (cf "Museums and Salons").  She  is  also  cited  in  several  works
discussing   contemporary  naïve   painting  in  France,  Holland   and  Japan
  (cf "Bibliography").
